Mookie’s “What’s Going On?” Blog
Adam linked me to an entertaining Ebert review of “Tru Loved”. I’m probably a bigger fan of Ebert’s essays about film rather than the movies themselves. In college, I was a 35mm projectionist and that was probably the first time in my life that I ever watched the same film more than once in a single day. Since then, I’ve grown a lot and there have been several instances where I’ve watched the same television program (such as the latest House episode) or movie (documentary King of Kong - rocking good film) a second time that same day if I was with someone new.

Alissa has been working a lot so I’ve been home with Meliora most evenings. She’s growing up big – she’s almost 40 pounds and runs extremely quickly. Sometimes, when I know neither of us will be home for several hours, we’ll take to doggy day care and she will be exhausted. We did that on Monday and for the first time I can remember, Meliora slept on our bed all night long without once jumping off. That was pleasant and I know Alissa enjoyed have the puppy next to her all night long.

I don’t know what exactly I’m going to do for Halloween. Alissa will probably be busy; I believe she’s working instead of graduate school. I might go to a party with some improvisers – I would like to hand out candy for at least a little while at home.

I'm trying to be productive with this time to write & think & plot but it's been difficult lately. I have a class to teach tonight which is always fun.
