Smoke & Whistles
And... we're... back!

It's been a busy number of days since we last joined our fearless hero - but we're back in the thick of things and hjumming a delicious caramel coated apple tune (thank you property management company / Lunds & Byerlys)

What's new?
* My parents came to visit for a week. We walked the Mall of America, we walked the dog Meliora, we played Wii Fit.
* Alissa started her new job as a GOTV - Get out the Vote - Coordinator. She is working on lots of campaigns and often can be seen driving out to Blaine.
* I had another weekend of fun shows with my team -- my boss & manager came to enjoy the shows on Friday -- and Adam & I had a good time entertaining the masses! I also hosted the Outtakes show on Saturday which is always dandy because they are funny and I love working with them.
* I finished teaching my massive Improv Tech I class (18 people) and started my Improv Tech II class (10 people). I really enjoy teaching because it improves my skills (as a teacher, as a presenter, as a listener and as an improviser) as well as have a lot of fun. This is my first time teaching an entire Improv Tech II curriculum start-to-finish by myself, so it's another fun adventure which is a pleasing diversion from the Improv Tech I course I've grown to know pretty well.
* I started reading books like, "Plato and a Platypus walk into a bar" which is about teaching philosophy through jokes. I recommend it! I also realized that I learn humor best through CDs rather than books.
* I finally got a copy of Jim Steinmeyer's BUNKO which I look forward to performing for an audience some day. My dad enjoyed the visit to the Twin Cities Magic Shop and bought some neat Tenyo gadgets which will hopefully entertain my nieces and nephews!

On Saturday, Alissa & I & my parents went to the Minnesota History center to see the "Splendors of the Vatican". It's a very exquisite exhibit which is touring only a few US cities. It's a collection of documents & art from the Vatican which spans literally thousands of years. They had everything from the official papal signing which declared which Cardinal was the new Pope to Mosiacs and Atlases from ages ago. I especially liked the Swiss Guard outfits as well as all the BLING~! The visit served me well when I was given a Pontiff John Paul II for Party Quirks on Friday night. At last I could reference a Miter~! Rock.

We also got the puppy groomed on Saturday which was amazing because she's so soft now! I'll post before & after pictures once my parents send them to me!
