A giant box of yuck!!
Yesterday, on my way out the door, I decided to check the cooler on the three-season porch with the idea that maybe I would haul some water & pop to the Park show that evening. That's when I remembered the bratwrust that I had put in there a few weeks ago. Oh, yes - it's horrific. I will be buying some Lysol and using the hose very liberally tonight to try and clean out that mess.

I just complete my four day tour of IMPROVMANIA. Thursday night, I taught Tim's "Improv Tech II class" which was really fun. See, I was supposed to have a level two class about eight weeks ago, but I didn't get enough students signed up. So, I was prepared for this class based on the false-start back in June. On Friday, I performed with the troupe at the Cabaret to a decent-sized audience. On Saturday, I hosted both the 8 PM show (with my usuaul performing troupe) and also the 10 PM show (with the Outtakes). Then on Sunday, it was time for Stevie Ray's Improv in the Park at Lake Harriet. I hosted both the 5 PM and 7 PM shows. Numerous people from work attended (which included my co-worker Adam performing a rare show alongside me along with Mister Stevie Ray himself) including my manager, boss and my boss' boss. Woo! So, I've spent at least a dozen hours preparing and performing improv since Thursday which is enjoyable but also very tiring. I was essentially ringleader most of those nights and that can take a lot out of you. However, I received lots of great feedback and encouragement so I'm pleased to say that my energetic hosting style was well-received.

And I had to be energetic while at the Cabaret (located at the Sheraton Hotel in Bloomington, Minnesota - not far from the MALL OF AMERICA~!). Why? Because of KAKKOI CON 2008 - basically a Japanese Culture Convention mainly focusing around Anime. It was a sight to see. I found this pic online:

Alissa had warned me that this event was going on after seeing a posting on a LJ twin_cities group looking for models for their Japanese fashion show. When I arrived, there was ample parking. For such a well-attended convention, this surprised me. Then I went inside and all made sense. The average attendee is probably about 15 years old. I don't know if I saw anyone just wearing blue jeans. It was either three-piece Vampire Hunter D suit or requisite goth outfit complete with GIANT WALLET CHAIN. As the majority of people appeared under the age of 18, I couldn't take any pictures with my cell-phone without feeling skeevy. Giant Drums, Giant BattleAxes, Tiny Costumes - it was an adventure both nights while we tried to do our funny make-em-ups rockin' in our corner of the hotel.

My dog has been going a little bonkers this weekend - I imagine it was the weatherfront moving in. She seemed to have calmed down considerably since it rained last night (luckily, minutes after we left the park without blowing all the electronic equipment!!).
