Homesteading & Ovaltine
This has been one of those up & down weeks. I can barely believe it's still only Wednesday.
GOOD: Alissa got updates on her outstanding items which is cause for celebration!
NOT-SO-GOOD: Homestead. I drove to St. Paul over my lunchbreak to turn in my records so I would qualify for owning my own home. Deadline is Dec 15. At my closing I was told two lies: a) that I had to do this in person as the homeowner and could not submit by mail or have Alissa do it, b) the office was at the address on the form. After parking downtown (which is a nightmare), I walked to the building only to discover they'd moved. I drove to that location and stood in a line that was marked, "WINDOW CLOSED" for twenty minutes to simply hand a form to someone and be told that was it. No ID check. No questions. The form was already filled out 100% correctly.
GOOD: I toured the Novartis Plant today and saw how they make Ovaltine.
NOT-SO-GOOD: My nostrils smell like Arginaid and Salt. I also had to wear a beard cover which was not manly.
GOOD: Most of the students in Tuesday's Improv Tech I class will be continuing. I taught three of the eight classes on my own with this group and had great fun. They were very talented and extremely attentive and funny. We had a nice drink out at Herkimers after last night's class and I'll be seeing them again Tuesdays in January!
NOT-SO-GOOD: Yesterday was the anniversary of my friend's murder. I needed to take a little time away from work so I left around 3:30 pm and went to a coffeeshop before class.
GOOD: Alissa & I are going to Rochester this weekend for Tabitha & Joe's wedding and to see my family.
NOT-SO-GOOD: Just a lot of work ahead at my job and plenty of uncertainty and anxiety still left in our lives this month!
