My buddy Frank is a wonderful guy. He is working with a wonderful organization. There is a serious opportunity to bring a substantial donation for "Hands on DC" simply by having the largest number of contributors (not largest amount of money, largest number of unique donors). Would you and could you donate $10 for this group?
Please give it a thought.

Hey Friends and Family,
Now normally (as you know) I don't directly solicit you for anything-even though I have been volunteering with Hands on DC for a while. I figure if you wanted to participate, you would, and that's quite alright that you don't. This, however, is a rather unique opportunity we have here and so I'm compelled to ask (just asking) if you can help. The contest is detailed below, but it basically works like this:
1.) You donate ten dollars to hands on DC through the link here: http://www.networkforgood.org/pca/Badge.aspx?BadgeId=109440 2.) The contest awards $50,000 to the top four teams that have the most unique donors. That's right, it's not about how much money we make but how many different people contribute to the cause. Actually the phrase is "Most unique donors' which leads me to believe they were going to judge you on your oddities and appearance (not that anyone could actually be more unique), but they mean the most number of different folks to contribute. 3.) Right now Stephen (who is one of our fundraising co-chairs) says that the fourth place group only has about 200 people so far-and that number hasn't changed in two weeks or so. Essentially, this is VERY doable for us. The contest goes through the end of the month, and so if you can donate $10 it could really mean a whole lot more to us then it normally does. That's about it. I hope all of you are well, and if I haven't spoken to you in a while please drop a line. For those of you who have asked, "Yes, I do have some Stand-up dates set up now, and I"ll pass them along if you want." If you want to find out more about the charity I work with you can visit http://www.handsondc.org. Other than that, Happy New Year my lovely, lovely friends. Frank Lattuca ( Read more... )
I really appreciate you taking the time to read this and please consider donating. Thanks! Rock. |
